Giverny and Paris again

On the last full day of the tour, we headed to Giverny and the garden of the painter Claude Monet.  You could tell that every viewpoint had inspired one of his paintings. (This was one of the highlights for me.)

We took our final bus ride back to Paris, where we all gathered for a farewell dinner with our new friends.

I stayed an extra day in Paris beyond the tour.  I downloaded Rick Steves' audio guide in order to wander around Père Lachaise cemetery.  I highly recommend the Atelier des Lumières light show (though it was nearly impossible to photograph). I also made a stop at the traveling exhibit of King Tut's treasures.

After dinner, I headed to the Champs de Mars to watch the sunset and say au revoir to the City of Lights.
